Kahuna 'Core System'
Admin: Almost all of the features listed below can be fine tuned or turned off/on by the admin as per individual needs. Sophisticated yet easy to use interface handles events, logs, history, and individual/mass alterations of settings. Admin is a separate program.
Authentication and error management: This engine will handle the registration, log in, and 'lost password' functionality. It will also handle database connections and all error handling for php, mysql, and apache error pages. Session handling is also a part of the main engine.
Users system: Users have different levels overall, or individually, affecting different modules. Full admin customization of users.
Security Engine: This is built into the core and is quite amazing in its complexity and ease of use. It will handle all security for your custom applications too. All security features are customizable and can be shut off or on at will by admin.
'Some' of the security features:
Optimization Engine: Fine tuned to be low on resource use, bandwidth, and file overload.
Optimization Features:
Disabilities: Bandwidth Protector and Red Flag work together to present pages for those using browsers made for vision challenged users.
Modification of HTML / Templates: The system uses function calls to display data on pages. This allows almost complete autonomy to a web designer to make any template system desired. Other than determining the placement of the function calls and original includes for engine, a web page requires no coding experience at all.
Modification of Code: The engine core and each module will have a custom code page in the backend. Any functions that need to be altered are instead copy/pasted into the correct custom code page and then altered. This altered code will over ride the existing function and allow for easy modification. Rarely, if ever, will a modifier need to touch core or module existing code.
Updating, Upgrading: When upgrading, only the core and module 'code' files are given out. This means the html and custom code written by the webmaster is NOT overwritten and in many cases not even affected at all. Major upgrades may cause some issues, but each module can be turned off / on by admin as needed with no interruption for the other modules or core.
First Live Features:
Other modules coming over the next six months after release
